Explain why the source is relevant
Imagine a fictional reader asking about one condition in a synthetic project note. A collection also contains background material, examples and an older version of the note. The useful context is the material that helps answer the defined question. Its relevance should be explainable rather than inferred from the number of documents available.
For each selected passage, write a short statement of its role. One passage may establish the current condition; another may illustrate a term. Keep those roles distinct so an example does not quietly become an instruction or an older note appear current.
Keep additional material from changing the question
A broader collection can introduce details that are interesting but outside the request. In the exercise, add a synthetic note about a different activity and ask whether it changes the draft unnecessarily. The output should remain tied to the reader’s purpose while making any relevant uncertainty visible.
If a passage introduces a conflict, preserve it as a conflict. Do not blend incompatible statements into a smooth explanation that hides their difference. The reviewer needs to know which condition requires clarification and how it affects the answer.
Record the limits of the context used
End with a draft that identifies its supporting material and the part of the question that remains open. A reader should be able to understand why the selected sources were used and what they do not establish. This makes the answer easier to inspect without implying that the available context is complete.
The documents and outputs are fictional teaching material. The exercise does not demonstrate autonomous behavior or establish the effectiveness of a system. It offers a way to discuss relevance, scope and uncertainty in a source-aware answer.
