Principles for the work
Build understanding into the experience.
The work described on this site sits at the intersection of information, design and human judgment. Making a source easier to inspect can matter as much as making a response faster to read.
Our principles call for explaining what an interface does, testing its real behavior and being candid about its limits. These are expectations for the work, not claims about an existing employee experience.
Care about the question.
Understand the task and the person who needs the result before proposing a solution.
Make the reasoning visible.
Connect the evidence, the decision and the expected behavior so someone else can inspect the work.
Take a correction seriously.
Keep the failing example, fix the cause and check the result instead of hiding the evidence.
Respect the reviewer.
Explain the remaining uncertainty and give the next person a clear, bounded decision.
Ways to evaluate the work · not employee benefits
A useful contribution is concrete.
Good work might turn an ambiguous requirement into a testable journey, replace an unsupported claim with evidence or make a complex concept legible on a small screen. We value the reasoning that connects the problem to the result.
A portfolio or example should be evaluated in its context: what needed to change, what constraints mattered and how the outcome was checked. No portfolio submission is requested or collected on this page.
Clear context
Can another person understand why the work exists and which problem it addresses?
Reviewable decisions
Does the result preserve the reasoning that connects a requirement to a choice?
Useful feedback
Is a correction specific enough to change the next attempt and test the outcome?
Accessible interaction
Can a person use the journey with a keyboard and read it on a narrow screen?
Honest availability
Does the interface explain what works today without implying a service that is not available?
Careful boundaries
Are source access, sharing and external actions treated as separate decisions?
Original work
Can the team explain where its assets, examples and claims came from?
Responsible handoff
Are open questions visible and assigned to a responsibility rather than quietly forgotten?
Evidence of quality
Is there a real interaction, checked result or inspectable artifact behind the claim?
